7 Ways of Getting Your Customers to Say 'Wow'!
Just imagine. You have walked out of a shop or put down the phone after purchasing something and your immediate reaction is 'Wow!' How do you feel? Excited; satisfied; fulfilled ... eager to return and buy again?
Wouldn't it be great if you could get your customers to feel the same way about dealing with you?
Lots of small business owners (and not so small!) seem to think that the customer is merely an interference. But how can you get your customers all pumped up and ready to do business with you again? I'll share some tips on exactly how you can get a 'Wow!' response and show how it can positively impact your bottom line.
Get promising
These days too many businesses seem reluctant to commit to anything. As a result, you walk away with a nagging doubt that nothing is going to happen and so the whole experience is not pleasant. What a refreshing change to get a business that provides a firm promise on dates and times or opening hours. Can you provide a clear promise to your customers? Have a think about each aspect of your business and highlight all your 'promisables' in your sales and marketing stuff. One great tip - under promise and over deliver. Promise delivery in 7 days, knowing you can do it in 3 days. When the goods arrived 4 days before expected, that's a 'Wow' factor if ever there was one!
Important point - if you can't deliver it, don't promise it!
Be a Tigger
Remember Tigger from Winnie the Pooh? He's all over the place; bouncing up and down with endless energy and enthusiasm. He just leaves his friends breathless! What a great person to be with and do business with. Are you enthusiastic when you speak and deal with your customers? Are your staff brimming with enthusiasm? If you can't project an image which says "Im happy to be here", how can you expect your customers to feel different? So, have a Tigger day every day!
First impressions
If you have a shop or office where customers visit you, what do your premises say about your business? Is it modern, fresh-looking, clean and tidy? Or is it worn, tired and generally looking run down? Like it or not, customers will judge you on what they see. They may say 'Wow' but for all the wrong reasons!
A pot of paint and a splash of colour can make all the difference and it doesnt have to cost the earth (these DIY programmes have a lot to answer for!).
Be a problem solver
Despite all businesses believing they have great customer service, the fact is that the majority don't. The main reason is that when people complain, most feel that they have not been listened to and their problem has not been solved. Be a solver of problems - quickly and efficiently. A motto - 'Resolve to solve'.
Be their friend
I don't know about you, but I am a sucker for business owners who take their time to know me and recognise me when I next call or visit! The bond and the desire to do more business with those types of entrepreneurs, is strong for me. Do you take time to build a relationship with all your key clients? Do you go out of your way to greet them when they next do business? As the saying goes, aim to turn strangers into friends and friends in to customers.
Value for money
In this day and age of new technology, and the hefty prices that go with it, the concept of giving great value is sometimes forgotten. Creating a 'Wow' moment can be as simple as giving a little bit extra, something unexpected. It doesn't have to be of huge value, it's genuinely the thought that counts. However, don't restrict this idea just to price. Price on its own may not work, it has to be tied in with something else - 2 for 1, a small gift etc.
The quality of your product must also reflect value for money. Don't try and pass off an inferior product with a superior price - you'll again create the wrong type of 'Wow' moment! Medium price and great quality - a definite, positive 'Wow'.
Call them
The real killer 'Wow' is calling your customer a few days after he has bought. Asking him if the product is fine, whether it does what he wanted it to do, is one sure way of stopping him in his tracks! If everything is great, then you have a customer for life. If there is a problem, wonderful; you have the opportunity to put it right and ... have a customer for life. This is a very simple and powerful way of creating 'Wow'.
So that's it. If you follow theses simple ideas, all your customers will be saying 'Wow' and they will be coming back time and time again. Who knows, they may even tell their friends? Take some time to review these tips and see how you can apply them in your business.
Loyalty - The Key to Business Success
Talk to many business people about how they approach customer service and the majority of them will say that they are aiming to have 'satisfied' customers. No! What we all should be seeking is to have loyal customers.
Research has shown that 65% of customers say they are loyal. You may be happy with this but you shouldn't! Satisfied customers are in a state of nothing - they are neither dissatisfied or happy; they are in between. They will tolerate you while you are of use to them but if a better deal comes along, they're off.
On the other hand, loyal customers are your friends. They will be with you through thick and thin; they will be the first to try out you new product; they willing give you honest feedback; they will regularly refer business to you. This is what you want! But how can you turn a satisfied customer into a loyal one?
Let Them Decide How to Do Business With You
Today customers are a lot more sophisticated in how they want to do business. If your product or service lends itself to be offered via a number of different means, then give your customer the option.
Can you deliver face-to-face? What about telephone services? Could you make use of SMS texts for quick notes and reminders? Do you have a web site through which customers can contact you or even make orders on-line? If you provide a variety of delivery channels which are available to suit the customer's needs then they are more likely to stay with you.
Build a Relationship
Loyalty can only be achieved if you have a true relationship with your customer. Aim to build rapport. Understand who are dealing with and understand what they are looking for. Keep in regular contact with them; you don't necessarily have to be selling something. Always use their names, especially their first name if you can.
All of this will help in building a long term relationship. Once you have this, they are less likely to walk away.
Generate Staff Loyalty
How can you cultivate a loyal customer if your staff are not loyal to the business? You must have staff who care for the job and will do anything to protect and move the business forward. Customers will be more loyal if they see familiar faces. A business with a high staff turnover will find it difficult to build a relationship with their customers.
Treat your staff well. Reward their successes and recognise their achievements. Hold regular training sessions so they feel that they are learning and developing. An established training programme will also make sure that their product knowledge is up to date.
Seek Out Complaints
This sound strange but the average customer has to be encouraged to complain! Many will keep quiet about poor service but if they can find someone else to do their business with, they will. Set up a clear complaints procedure so customers can complain if they wish. Provide staff with the tools to effectively deal with customer problems. Follow up all complaints to ensure that they have been resolved.
Take an Interest
Show your customers that you are interested in their views. Run regular surveys to find out what they think of your service, to find out what you can do differently. You can either carry out a survey over the telephone, or go as far as doing a mailing to all your customers.
Taking the trouble to contact your customers will reinforce the message that you want their custom. But don't forget - take action on what you find out!
Be a 'Can Do' Business
Customers like nothing better than a business which delivers on even the most difficult of requests. 'Can Do' businesses will always have loyal customers. Train your staff to never use words like, "Sorry but ...", "Its not my fault", "Its company policy".
Be a business where solutions are always looked for and problems seen as challenges.
Look After The Golden Customers
The old 80/20 is likely to apply to your business - 80% of your sales or profits are likely to come from just 20% of your customers. Work out who your top 20% is and love them to death! Why not concentrate on turning the remaining 80% into loyal customers? Well, the 20% have already shown that they trust and respect you. A little more effort with these customers will reap more business than concentrating on the 'maybe's'. By all means, run a programme to convert the 'maybe's' but put more effort into the converted.
So, there you have it. Some ideas and tips on how to build and keep loyal customers. Take a critical look at your business and put a loyalty building programme in place, which will boost sales and profits.
Once you have decided, check what are the franchises available that relates to your field of expertise and make a list of it so you could narrow down our choices.
Make a comprehensive assessment of the list you have created. Scrutinize carefully each aspect of the business and ask the franchisor for a detailed information regarding the enterprise. It is better if you take down notes on the areas that you need further explanation. Do not hesitate to raise up your concerns and demand for concrete answers that are based on facts. Remember that the franchise owner would only highlight their business’ strengths and would hide their flaws as much as they can.
Reputation is one aspect that determines the success of the franchise. Normally, customers settle for something that has proven its worth rather than take the risk and try those with no names. However, you should focus on the financial condition. Conduct a meticulous research regarding the company’s financial status. A detailed and latest report of its past operations within three years would be better. Furthermore, ask for a concise representation on the company’s future plans to ensure the stability of the enterprise, despite the inevitable occurrence of unexpected consequences.

Business Loans for All Credit Scores
Where is the best place to borrow money? What kind of loan terms will I qualify for? Will my loan be denied? What can I do to enhance my chances for loan approval?
These are some of the most common questions that most business owners have asked me over the years. The worst part is that more than 98% of these same business owners told me they felt their only resources were their local banks or credit cards (secured with personal guarantees). And, most of their local banks even required them to pledge their personal homes & land as collateral.
Like most of these business owners, you've probably already gotten to the point... where you need money FAST! So, here's some common sense advice that can save your business, regardless of your personal credit history.
First of all, getting approved for a small business loan is definitely easier than getting personal loans... regardless of your personal credit scores. Additionally, getting the right types of corporate credit is absolutely critical: if you want to protect your personal assets, minimize the risk of a personal lawsuit affecting your business, and to your ability to weather the economic changes that happen overnight.
All business owners must be much more proactive about developing relationships with the right types of lending institutions. You usually want to start your application process with out-of-state, national lenders... not your local or regional banking institutions. National lenders typically won't require a personal guarantee or your social security number.
I've attached a basic roadmap you'll need to follow, if you need a small business startup loan, a business debt consolidation loan, a bad credit business loan, or a government business loan.
Ultimately, you need to find a competent professional that can help you navigate through the process of building a strong corporate credit rating.
Finding a competent business loan expert will give you a head start on your competition & also let you focus on running your day-to-day activities... instead of dealing with the hassles of establishing a strong business credit rating. An excellent business credit score can help your company's image, overnight.
You need to be able to answer all of these very basic questions, before you apply for any business credit.
1. How is your business structured? Is it a sole proprietorship, C-corporation, S-Corporation, Limited-Liability Corporation (LLC), Partnership, or Trust?
2. How long has your business been recognized by your State & Local government?
3. Has your company ever had derogatory information reported against it to either of the two (2) most popular business credit reporting agencies, Dun & Bradstreet or Experian?
4. Are your company permits, licenses and registrations current?
5. Does your business have a physical address, or are you trying to use a U.S. Post Office Box instead?
6. Is your business telephone number recognized by directory assistance?
7. Are your incoming telephone calls professionally answered in your business name?
8. Have you established a business checking account?
9. Have you registered & asked for an Employer Identification Number (also known as an EIN) from the IRS?
If your answer to the first question was a sole proprietorship, partnership or trust; I urge you to re-establish your company as a corporation or LLC. I'm not going to provide you with legal advice, but many CPAs and attorneys highly recommend LLCs (Limited Liability Corporations) as a way of protecting your personal assets & estate... in the event of any lawsuits being filed against your company.
As a sole proprietor, your personal assets are at direct risk of seizure or forfeiture when faced with most types of legal action. Additionally, if you are applying for business loans in a corporation's name... most lending institutions will not require you to provide any personal guarantee!
A corporation can still face difficulties applying for business credit, if it has been in business less than 2 years or had previous credit problems reported against it. Here are some ways to fix these problems.
- Purchasing a "shelf corporation" or "aged corporation" that's been in good standing with your State government (for longer than 2 years) can drastically improve your chances for small business loan approval.
- You can attempt to repair your business credit rating by writing dispute letters to Experian or Dun & Bradstreet, which isn't always possible.
- Some corporate credit experts will help you find, select & purchase an established "shelf" or "aged" corporation, some of which already have strong credit ratings established... saving you alot of hassles!
I cannot stress this enough... you MUST have a physical address (not a PO Box) if you want to establish a solid business credit rating. The same thing is said for telephone numbers & the way incoming phone calls are handled. Would you lend money to a company that does not appear to have a physical address or documented telephone number?
And, don't forget to always keep your small business permits, licenses & registrations current... and always keep copies of these documents in case a potential lender asks for this information.
Business checking accounts are a must. Again, this proves stability to your potential lenders. Here are a couple of tips for you, in case you've had any checking accounts closed by a financial institution. Pay off the outstanding balance (if any) that's being reported by the bank, or open a checking account at a bank or credit union that doesn't use the ChexSystems credit reporting system. Most credit unions don't use ChexSystems, and you can always find a list of banking institutions in your area that don't use ChexSystems... by simply doing a search on Google, Yahoo or MSN.
Small business credit ratings are tracked using your business name, business address and employer identification number (EIN). You can apply for & receive an EIN at the IRS's website (irs.gov). You can also call the IRS, but be prepared for long waits.
Then you'll want to obtain a D-U-N-S number from Dun & Bradstreet, the largest business credit reporting agency. You can apply for this without any fees at Dun & Bradstreet's website (dnb.com), and you'll usually receive this number within thirty (30) days. Do not apply for this number until you've prepared your self thoroughly, because any information you give to them... goes into your credit file... permanently.
After you've obtained your D-U-N-S number, you're probably ready to start establishing some vendor credit. Vendor credit is where many business owners start establishing business credit ratings. Then, you'll also need to fax your business telephone bill & the credit application to them... on your business letterhead (which you can create using your favorite word processing software if you don't have expensive stationery). They usually don't require any personal guarantees (if you've followed the outline above), and you'll usually receive a starting credit line of $750.
This is critical & I repeat... critical! Always pay your invoices before the grace periods begin... especially on unsecured credit cards or vendor credit lines. Dun & Bradstreet will lower your credit score for every day a creditor reports your bill as unpaid while you're within your grace period. Whereas, personal credit scores are not lowered unless you are 30+ days past your due date.
Dun & Bradstreet reports what's known as a Paydex score (your corporate credit score), and a score of 80 is very good... with 100 being the highest score you can achieve. Your Paydex score is issued once you've established a known vendor/credit relationship with at least five (5) creditors.
There are shortcuts that will help you get much more than $750 alot faster. When using a business credit expert, most small business owners (even startups) can be approved for vendor credit lines of $25,000-$50,000 and open credit lines of $50,000, $250,000, $500,000 or more... in as little as 45-60 days... by using their knowledge of the application process & "shelf" corporations.
Now, it's your choice. Are you going to go against the grain & try to establish business credit on your own (which could prove costly to your business health, growth & survival)? Or, will you choose to utilize a corporate credit expert... allowing you to remain focused on your daily business needs?
Most business owners make the mistake of trying to do this on their own... usually trying to find grants, investor "angel" money, or falling back onto the "personal credit card sword". Don't be a casualty like the rest. Learn more about how you can use the tools that informed, educated millionaire businessmen have used for years.

Learn more about how you can use the tools that informed, educated millionaire businessmen have used for years.
small business grants
Ways To Get Grants For Brand New Businesses
Getting started with a brand new business, being your own boss, and deciding how the company is run it can be very exhilarating. Till the time the question of funds crop up. While loans and venture capital are the most popular ways of funding a new business, you can even consider applying for grants.
What is a Business Grant?
A business grant is provided to a business or a proposed business after it fulfills certain criteria. It works very much like a commercial loan, except for the fact that you need not repay a business grant. Because the business grant does not burden you with issues like repayment and interest, the competition for these grants is fierce. They are harder to get than loans, and take longer to sanction, since a committee scrutinizes your application first.
Who Offer Business Grants?
Private organizations, business groups and government institutions provide business grants. In the US, though the federal government does not provide direct grants for small businesses, state government and many private organizations help out new businesses by providing grants.
Who is Eligible to Receive Business Grants?
For small business grants, almost all kinds of privately run businesses with less than 30 employees qualify. Whether you run a day care center, photocopying business, or retail from home, you can apply for a small business grant. The only eligibility criteria are that you must be above 18 years of age and a US citizen or resident. You need to submit a well-written business proposal in order to get a grant sanctioned, since you have to convince the grants committee about the feasibility of your business.
How Much Is The Grant Amount?
Typically, a business grant for new businesses, especially small businesses, can fall anywhere from $500 to $50,000. If you are starting a new business, you can get more.
How to Write a Business Proposal:
A business proposal is crucial if you want to avail the benefits of a grant. A business proposal details how to plan to run, organize and get fund for your business. You need to mention how much money you will need, how much you hope to earn through your business, what kind of business model you will follow, how many people you will employ, insurance policy, business failure planning and other information. If you have no prior experience in running a business, then you may want to consult a small business advisor while drafting a business proposal.
Entrepreneurship is vital to the economy of any nation, which is why governments and private institutions provide grants to dedicated people who want to make a success of their new business. If you are keen on making your new business a hit, then there should be no problems in getting your grant application approved. In order to locate a suitable grant, and for drafting a business plan, you may need to consider a small business expert who can guide you.
small business servers prices
PC-based servers and LANs may be relatively mature technologies. However, small businesses need your firm’s expertise, more than ever. For these businesses, you’ll need to select, configure, customize, secure and maintain the right small business networking tools for their unique needs.
Real Small Business Networking Solutions Begin with Real Servers
How many times have you taken on a new small business client who insists that he or she is perfectly content with their peer-to-peer network? You know the peer-to-peer network is really causing a ton of problems.
Is Microsoft Windows peer-to-peer networking any way to run a small business? Perhaps it is for a two-or-three-person company, but those really tiny offices generally aren’t your most profitable client opportunities.
Convincing the Client They Need Small Business Networking
Clients come to you because they need a reliable, yet cost-effective small business networking solution. You know that their data, uptime, and security issues are important, and that there are some corners that aren’t worth cutting. Yet many small business networking prospects and clients still believe that they’re too small to need a dedicated or “real” server.
Cutting Corners Doesn’t Cut It
When you begin talking about a network upgrade, small business clients often dwell on out-of-pocket costs. They often neglect to consider the more substantial soft costs of investing shortsightedly in a small business network.
These include lost employee productivity when imprudent corners are cut, downtime when fault-tolerance is an afterthought, and support costs when difficult-to-support or “dead-end” solutions are selected solely because of their low price tag.
The Bottom Line about Small Business Networking
Often clients don’t recognize they have a small business networking problem until it’s too late. If you show your prospects and clients how a dedicated server can save them money by avoiding inevitable disasters (i.e. share some of your “before” and “after” client case studies), you’ll have a stronger chance of getting prospects

small business servers china
For many small and midsize enterprises in Europe and North America, the prospect of doing business in China can be daunting. In fact, as a result of their reluctance, such companies seem increasingly vulnerable on several fronts: they are not only forfeiting opportunities to sell goods and services in China and to source low-cost products in its factories and workshops but also face new Chinese competition at home.
But rather than wait passively for the day when these competitors show up on their doorstep, they can pursue strategies that could help them overcome the barriers to entering China's domestic and export markets. To be sure, those barriers are considerable. Many small and midsize companies are hardly eager to deploy scarce management resources to identify qualified Chinese vendors or to research and understand the tastes of the country's consumers. Nor do they have the time and resources to recruit staff and manage operations there.
